The Word for this month is Perserverance and Prayer
Perseverance means; Continued Effort, Long- term commitment, Continue in spite of difficulties, Steady, Steadfast, not subject to change, Firm and Fixed. Immovable. Continue anything undertaken.
We all need to Persevere in our Faith and walk with the Lord. Hearts and Hands for Refugees Canada -need to Persevere in our Service to the Lord as we continue to serve the Christian Refugee Families in Thailand. The needs and obstacles in Refugee families are many, but we keep trusting God.
Spring 2025 started with many health problems, one father had a serious infection on his wrist, which caused such intense pain he could barely walk. Doctors told him he needs surgery, but his healing came along so well, they said it is not needed. After he was healed, three of the women in our Program started getting sick. One after the other. We are just now starting to come out of it. This has clearly shown to us we need more prayer support for our families.
One of the mothers in our program needs hysterectomy, which is a major operation for any woman, and it will cost money. We promised to take care of it. Another mother in our group -needs an operation, as well. Her Kidney is not functioning well. We promised to take care of that, too. At this moment-we are praying we will have enough finances to cover the cost for both operations.
One of the women is completely healed from her stomach infection and is praising the Lord and praying for the other women in our group. She said that because of her health crises -her Faith has been strengthened. She felt strongly supported and encouraged through the whole process by Hearts and Hands for Refugees Canada.
We were able to help them with the medical fees. Our Founder maintained weekly video calls with all our families until the worst of the crises was over. They felt they were not alone and appreciated the concern from Canada.
Educational Issues for Refugee Children in our group
It is important to consider the Refugee Children’s education. We are looking for online educational opportunities for our Refugee Children. We have Elementary children and teenagers and young adults that need to be part of an Educational Program. For that to happen, we need Sponsors who are willing to invest into these children’s education and their future.
We are looking into Christian Online Homeschool Programs and after looking at 20 different programs -we are still trying to decide what is the best option for us. We would like a group rate for all our kids, regardless of ages because paying one by one – would be too expensive.
