Refugee have many needs
Through our involvement with Refugee families, we aim to focus on the basic need for Food and Shelter. Sometimes families need Emergency Medical care .That is important- as well as Educational Supplies for Children. We firmly believe that by standing together and offering Compassion and Respect we can be a Positive influence in the lives of Christian Refugees. We are not only aiming to help them Cope with their situation but believe they can become a Blessing to many in spite of their situation.
We Are Supporting Urban Refugees
At Hearts and Hands for Refugees Canada – it is our goal to show respect and kindness to the Christian refugees who often feel completely forgotten by the rest of the world.
Our focus is to provide practical Support as well as personal involvement. Each family has a visiting team meeting them on a monthly basis. They not only have a change to share their concerns and worries but they can also pray and sing together and Read the Word of God. As a result, our families feel very encouraged and comforted. We also receive phone calls from each of our Families when they feel discouraged or need prayer.
One of our Families sent us a Voice message:
“We never have visitors. We live a very hard life. We are totally isolated and ignored by people. Poor people avoid us because we are the poorest of the poor. Others avoid us because our mother is sick. The rest avoid us because we are refugees. Then we heard about :Hearts and Hands for Refugees Canada. They started helping us and sent visiting team to visit us in our home. We prayed together. We sang together. Truly felt like God himself had come to visit us that day. We felt so blessed and so comforted. Thank you.”
We believe it is important our families are treated with respect. They have already suffered so much. Life has not treated them with kindness. You can Join Us – to bring Joy and Comfort to many.
