Principles of the Kingdom Of God
As Christians we believe God’s Kingdom is forever. He will rule and reign as King forever. We believe His Kingdom has no end. Living in the Kingdom of God is Reality ,that is available for everyone who calls on His Name. We can experience the Reality of God and His Love and Forgiveness and guidance in our everyday lives.
Psalm 45:6 Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The scepter of your kingdom is a scepter of uprightness; Psalm 103:19 The LORD has established his Throne in the heavens, and his Kingdom rules over all.
The Lord’s prayer in Matt 6:9-13 says : Your Kingdom Come -Your Will be Done
The Kingdom of God is about His Holiness and His Will in our lives .God is Holy and He calls us to walk in Holiness and Righteousness. His Kingdom is established upon the earth by preaching the gospel
Matt 5 :3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven
When we realize we are sinners, we become “the poor in spirit” and know our need for God and His Forgiveness. We cannot be Righteous on our own. God offers us His Gift Righteousness . The ones who repent and turn to God -can enter His Kingdom. The Kingdom of God is an invisible Kingdom while we live on this earth. But one day, we will see His Kingdom in all of its splendor and beauty and live there forever. We will be with our God and His Holy Angels. When we all get to Heaven what a day of rejoicing that will be. When we all see Jesus, we sing and shout the Victory.
Matt 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Our hunger and thirst for Righteousness will be filled by the Lord
We often forget there is a special group that is very close to the heart of God . They are the Persecuted Christians who have paid a high price for following Christ. They have suffered greatly for his Name Sake and many have died for his Name Sake. On many parts of the earth ,millions of Christians suffer in deep poverty, fear and uncertainty because they serve Jesus Christ.
Jesus made special mention of them in Matt 5 : 10-12 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven
God will not forget them and they will receive a special Rewards in Heaven .God has recorded their tears and heard their prayers. They will be honored greatly when they enter Heaven and hear the words :
“ You good and faithful servant enter into your rest “
We as God’s People should not forget them, either, because God wants us to help our brothers and sisters in need. If one member suffers -we all suffer. If one member rejoices we all rejoice . Let us Pray for Persecuted Christians and ask God to make a way for them and comfort them and help them in their suffering.
Another interesting principle of the Kingdom of God is that to be called Great in the Kingdom of God we must become a Servant of all
In the Western mindset to be great servant of God – most people equate it with being famous. But may I tell you – the greatest servants in the kingdom of God are often not visible. They simply serve God quietly, faithfully year after year and nobody knows about them or even knows heir first or last name. God has many Secret Servants and Prayer warriors that are great in the Kingdom and will receive many Rewards once they get to heaven. So….lets remember; the Greatest in the Kingdom of God must be a servant of all.
Our Kingdom is an upside down Kingdom. What this world values has no value In heaven. What is important here is not needed in Heaven
There are people on earth who never owned much but in heaven they will have a mansion – because they laid treasures in heaven. Our acts of kindness, Service prayers and humility are valued by God. Our love and commitment to the ones in need -those are treasures to God. We need to Lay Treasures in heaven. For where your heart is -there is your treasure.
In God’s Kingdom we are called to love those who hate us. We are called to bless those who persecute us. We are called to forgive. We are called to bless those who hurt us.
God says ,Bless that you would inherit a Blessing. You want God to Bless you ? You want to be blessed ? Then follow Jesus. He served. He loved. He healed. He prayed. He laid down His Life so that many would come to know the Love of God.
We are part of an Invisible Kingdom. This Kingdom is not built with the hands of men. This kingdom will last forever and ever. Amen
Principles of the Kingdom are listed here ;
1 . There is no other God but the One who died on the Cross for us. It is Him we serve and Adore. He is the Eternal King of Heaven. He rules over all the earth
2. To be part of the Kingdom of God we must be poor in spirit and be hungry for Righteousness. We do not get to heaven by good works. Only faith in Jesus’s finished work on the Cross opens the Heavens Gates. We need to ask God to forgive us and give us His Gift Righteousness. We can only enter His Kingdom by Faith in Jesus
3. Greatest in the Kingdom of God are the servants. We serve, love and Pray ,Forgive and Lay down their lives for Christ ,the Crucified one
4. Serving God can mean suffering and persecution. It can mean being invisible to others. But God who sees- He Rewards us for faithfulness
Our God is the King over all the Earth. The One who made Heaven and Earth and everything that is in it – He is watching us .He Loves us. He reminds us that His Kingdom is an upside down Kingdom. What is important on earth is not important in heaven. He wants us to remember He is coming back soon. Let us serve Him with our whole hearts. In reverence and fear. Amen.
Daniel 7 : 13-14 I saw in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of Heaven there came one like a Son of Man, and He came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before Him. To him was given Dominion and Glory and a Kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him; His Dominion is an Everlasting Dominion, which shall not pass away and His Kingdom one that shall not be destroyed
His Kingdom is forever .Amen
