THE HOUSE GOD BUILT
Heb 3 :4 For every House is built by someone, but He who built all things is God
Did you know that God built a House ? He built a beautiful House. I will tell you about it
He says : My House shall be called the House of Prayer
The emphasis is not on a House. The grandeur or the size of the House …the emphasis is that it is called a House of Prayer ! He is focusing on the purpose and function of the House; everything else comes out of that. Life flows from Prayer. Heaven records every Prayer we Pray and Pours Living Waters over us -as we call on Him.
House of Prayer means : Prayer is the foundation. The building stands on it .Like a Rock the House of God will stand for time and Eternity. God’s House is the Eternal House of Prayer
Who gets to go to the House God Built ? Who is Invited ?
Rev 7: 9 After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the Throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes and held palm branches in their hands
The Ones ,who had white robes on – get to go into God’s House. They are invited. They have been washed clean from all their sins by the Blood of the Lamb. White Clothes ,mean they have been given Righteousness of Christ because they believed only Jesus can forgive sins. Forgiveness makes them white as snow.
God does not invite strangers to His House. He invites His Family. Blood washed followers of Jesus are His Family. They can walk in freely without shame. Without hesitation and stand before the Lord. Forgiveness means becoming part of God’s Worldwide Family.
God’s Family members come from every nation. From Every tribe. From Every language. So many that no man can count them. They come from the East. They come from the West. They come from the North. They come from the South.
God’s Family will march in with Songs of Praise and Joy on their faces as they bow down and worship the Lord. Many were the troubles they encountered on earth but they came to know their God as their Heavenly Father, and their best friend . The rejoicing they feel echoes throughout Eternity and it echoes from every part of Universe and Heaven and Earth .Every molecule and living thing joins that Song and as the members of God’s Family stand confident and sing loud the High Praises of their God. There is Joy in God’s House that no one has ever experienced on earth. Nothing Compares to the Home Coming of God’s People and their Celebration before the Throne of God.
God’s House is House of Joy
John 14:2-4 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me so that you also may be where I am.
Luke 13:29-30 People will come from east and west and north and south, and will take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God.
Revelation 22:1-5 Then the angel showed me the River of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the Tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the Healing of the nations. No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and His servants will serve Him. They will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads. There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them Light. And they will reign for ever and ever.
How did God build a House for all Nations ? I will tell you
He built the House with His Nail Scarred Hands
When the Nails went to His Hands - it opened the Doors for anyone who believes in Him
to come in and be part of His Family.
When the Nails went to his feet - the Lord saw the Doors opening. When the Spear
went to His Side - soon after He said…” It is Finished “
He knew His Mission was completed.
He had redeemed sinful men from the consequences of their sin.
This is how God’s House was built. Redemption And Forgiveness was the song He sang
He paid the price for our freedom.
God’s House was built -with Rejection. With pain. With suffering. Being an outsider. Being poor.
Being Friend of the Sinners. He went outside the Camp to reach out to people who needed Him.
Isaiah 53:3 He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and pain and acquainted with grief; like One from whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we did not appreciate His worth or esteem Him
God’s House was built by comforting the widow. It was built with compassion towards the blind and the lame. It was built with healing the sick and setting captives free. It was built with prayer. It was built with preaching. It was built by calling Lazarus out of the grave.
It was built by feeding the hungry. It was built with forgiving tax collectors, prostitutes and adulterers. He forgave everyone who knew they needed forgiveness and He did not change His Mind. When he said it was forgiven it was forever removed from his record.
There never was anyone like our God, in the History of Mankind who showed such care towards the people He had Created. Wisdom He Granted them. Many Blessings He granted them.
But instead of being thankful and serving Him, they all turned their own way. Everyone of them turned to their own ways and broke His heart. They became hard, cold and greedy. They created many inventions. Some good and some very evil. They created bombs and weapons to destroy mankind. Instead of loving God and other humans they became strangers to God and to each other.
When connection was cut to God -they forgot how to connect to humans, too. Most of them felt lonely and lost and forgotten. Long ago in ages past, God knew he needed to build a House where a sinful man can come and find a Father who loves them and forgives them.
He wanted to teach them how to stay close to God and learn how to love people again. He wanted them to Read the Book He gave them, so they would understand how to follow Him and Obey His Word.
This is how God built a House. He built a House where welcome never ends. House where Sin cannot reign and that is why we need to remember today the old song children sing at Sunday School . Please join me and remember How God built a House. He built it with Love. Amen
