“ Hearts and Hands for Refugees Canada “ helps Urban Refugees in Thailand
We do not work with Refugees in Refugee Camps. The Refugees who live in Refugee Camps live a totally different lifestyle. They get food and a roof over their heads. Refugee Camps are typically not safe for women and children and that is why many families choose to stay in Cities .
Refugees in Cities are called ‘Urban Refugees” They are in a very desperate situation because they have no work permits or human rights or legal protection and still they must pay rent and find money for food as well
Often when Christian Refugees tell their story, the interviewers discredit their story and undermine what our families have experienced . Interviewers can become very detached from people in crises and forget people do not become refugees for the fun of it. We listen to our families and we believe they tell the truth. We understand the Cultural background and persecution based on that culture. We know their suffering is real.
Hearts and Hands for Refugees Canada ; We as an Organization are working as volunteers. We do not charge our families for any of our services. We simply do this work because it is important.

Hearts and Hands for Refugees Canada is different because we offer :

- Visiting team meeting on monthly basis
- Consistent financial support each month /12 months out of the year
- Weekly / video calls from Canada
- Medical / Educational support when needed
- Trade training / Sewing machines for women
- We focus on creating community and relationships
- We build relationships ,our families matter
- We remember our families during Birthdays / Christmas
- We offer emotional and spiritual support for each family
Urban Refugees live under constant fear of being sent to Prison They never know when that might happen and can never totally relax and enjoy life. Their life is a constant struggle. Our families are good honest people. Their only wish is to have freedom and work hard and support their families. They all pray for freedom. We are open for invitation to speak at your Church or organization Our Founder lived as a Refugee himself for many years . He volunteered at United Nations Refugee Committee. He also taught English to many people and filled hundreds of applications for people who needed help . He visited many families in crises and heard their sorrows. He knows what it is to live as a Refugee. He has a story to tell. God helped him to find Freedom and now he wants to help others who are still in Thailand . His story will Bless you and help you understand Refugee issues just a little bit better
