Attitude of Entitlement

ATTITUDE OF ENTITLEMENT

It seems most problems in society come from the same root cause. It is a mindset that says, ” Its every man to himself ” and the very common one ” I do my own thing ” And of course the ever popular ” I want my rights’

Anyone can manipulate and demand this and that by stating they want their rights. It has become an alarming trend. We hear the constant battle cry everywhere “I want my rights “.  The reality of that statement is that it is being used and twisted to justify all kinds of motives in people’s lives. We see this mindset in children, adults and on social media as well. This whole theory creates anger, Isolation and rebellion and lack of respect towards others. It also creates unsafe communities. Anger seldom builds safe cities. There are some who go to many places carrying this very mindset. It seems this mindset and demand for every possible human ” right ” seem to create chaos everywhere.

In a real sense, the “rights issue” seems to be off balance. In order to receive certain benefits, people should earn benefits by working and being responsible and kind- not just being demanding

It is fairly easy to see that people cannot have relationships unless they learn to listen and respect others. It is about attitudes. Demanding ” our rights” often builds walls and breaks any chance of building a caring community. This focus in Western Nations promote lack of respect towards God and others and especially towards family unit as foundation for society. These are serious issues that affect everyone.  If we teach children not to listen and respect others including their parents that is creating chaos. Without family people have nothing. We all came from somewhere. We all have roots somewhere. It is good to consider that. People need to connect but it only happens if people are kind and generous towards others

Another big issue – is lack of connection. Which is the same as lack of a community (which translates to lack of support) It always ties in with accountability. With loving connection and respectful behavior, we can succeed in life. Without respecting others- people simply create isolation and chaos.

Our Rights….need to be balanced with Responsibility. A Sense of Community needs to be balanced by Accountability Western world is oozing with sympathy and compassion. But it needs to be balanced with reality and teaching others to be kind and responsible and consider others and their needs -not just themselves.

Why are people demanding rights they already have? Creating a sense of Community means that people understand they have a part to play. In the Western Nations (for most part) we all have the same basic rights to live, work, study and partake of life.

Jesus said he came to Serve not to be Served. We all need to think about it. It is the secret Key to Happiness.

The opposite end of this dilemma is played out in the lives of our Christian Refugee Families. Christian Refugee families have no rights. No safety. No legal protection. No freedom. No protection.

Nobody cares. International Community have closed its ears and eyes to the Christian Refugee families and their cry for help. The ones in power are busy to enter their next Political debate and millions of Persecuted Christians are forgotten and waiting year after year – for Freedom.  Freedom to live in Safety. Freedom to Work. Freedom to have Education. Freedom to go to Church. Christian Refugees want to work and pay their bills and pay taxes. In return for freedom, they would bless the country that takes them in and help that country to succeed by being good citizens. They would send their children to school so they can work hard and eventually support their own families. They would volunteer to help the poor in Canada, USA or Australia etc… and visit the shut ins and become the best neighbor you ever had. They are not looking for benefits, nor screaming for their rights and demanding handouts. They simply want to work and take care of their families and be a blessing to the country that accepts them.

In the Western Nations we demand for more and more ‘ rights” when in reality we already have them

May I tell you – you have right to work. You have right to get education. You have right to vote. You have right to go shopping. You have right to pay taxes. You have right to be a good neighbor. You have right to be kind to others. Most of the Western Nations offer right to education, work and medical care. This trend of demanding “their rights” sounds like a broken record. We need to go forward and find more productive things to do than fight for rights we already have.

Maybe we should count our blessings rather than keep fighting for ” more rights ” Honestly. Maybe we need to Pray for Christian Refugees who literally have no rights at all. People who have been neglected and rejected for so long.

JESUS CAME TO SERVE, NOT TO BE SERVED. HIS FOLLOWERS BROUGHT BLESSING WHEREVER THEY WENT, BECAUSE THEY UNDERSTOOD THIS PRINCIPLE.

Let us Pray for Persecuted Christians to find Freedom in a Nation that grants them freedom to work, go to school and be a Blessing to others.
